Since Chiari puts pressure on different neves, it can cause your body to do, and/or act in crazy ways. When it comes to symptoms not everyone shows the same ones. Sometimes you can have only one. Then there are others, like myself that show numerous symptoms.
A few months ago, I was informed of two cases... One person had half of thier face go numb, and sag as if they had bells palsy. The next one had thier tongue twisted to the side. As you may notice with both of these cases, their symptoms aren't ones you would find anywhere, in relation to having a Chiari.

Post surgery, I still have neck/shoulder pain, dizziness (all of which my chiopractor gets under dontrol), balance issues, trouble concentrating, memory loss (long term), but these are more annoying than troublesome other than the dizziness. However, pre-surgery, I had about 3/4 of the symptoms above and was losing use of my right arm. Nice site
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your post! I understand what you are saying. I have many annoying symptoms, and I currently have at least 3/4 of the symptoms from above as well. It is wonderful your symptoms have decreased so much.
I have been having issues with the left side of my body, except for my feet it effects both of them. I just wish I could find a NS to do surgery. However, I stongly believe there is a higher power that has other plans.
Thank You Again,
Kim
